MLD Mortgage, a national home-purchase lender, grew its lending by 56% in 2025, faster than most similar lenders, with its strongest position in Oklahoma City.
It made 4,978 loans in 2025, up from 3,199. Similar lenders (independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans) grew by 12% and the whole market by 10%. Even so, it is well short of the 7,718 loans it made in 2020. Purchases were 81.0% of its lending.
It lends in 43 states and 212 metros, with Illinois its main state. Its largest share is around Oklahoma City, where it rose from 1.5% to 1.8% of lending, 12th of 534 lenders. Around Chicago, one of its largest markets, it ranks 61st of 902.
Borrowers of low or moderate income took 31.3% of its loans, up from 14.7% in 2020 and above the 27.8% typical of peers. Over the same years loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) rose from 7.7% to 21.3% of its lending, still slightly below peers' 24.5%.
It denied 2.7% of decided home-purchase applications, against 4.4% for the typical peer, and 2.7% of refinance applications, against 8.4%. Its typical rate, 6.50%, was a little lower than peers' 6.62%.
