A steep decline
The bank made between 120 and 168 loans a year from 2018 to 2022. It made 88 in 2023, 79 in 2024 and 22 in 2025, a fall of 72% in the last year. Similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans, fell 10%. Nothing in the record explains the drop. The bank may simply have made fewer home loans, or it may have reported only part of its lending; a fall this sharp is worth checking before reading much into it.
