FCS Financial, FLCA is a rural Missouri lender that grew briskly in 2025, making 174 loans against 132 a year earlier.
Faster growth than its peers
Its originations rose 32%. Similar lenders, independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans, were flat at the middle of the group, and the whole market grew 10%. It grew faster than about four in five of them. Its count has more than doubled since 2023, when it made 82 loans.
A country lender
All its lending is in Missouri, spread over 64 counties. Its biggest market lies outside the metros, where it ranked 49 of 640 lenders; Flat Branch Mortgage led there. In the cities it is a small presence, ranking 172 of 659 in Kansas City and 202 of 637 in St. Louis, though its share edged up 0.1 points in each.
Conventional loans and manufactured homes
Every loan it made was conventional, with none backed by the government. Manufactured homes made up 8.6% of its loans, against 0.3% for similar lenders, a higher share than almost nine in ten of them. Purchases were 60.3% of its lending.
Rates above the pack
Its typical rate was 7.20%, against 6.60% for similar lenders, higher than about nine in ten of them. Loans on manufactured homes, which often carry higher rates, are one possible reason. Few of its loans were higher-priced, meaning a rate well above the average for similar loans: 1.1%, against 1.7% for its peers.
Similar lenders: same lender type, originations between half and twice the lender's in the data year.
