Loans of this size suggest large properties financed for businesses, so comparisons with similar lenders (independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans) describe the kind of lending more than how it is done. Its typical rate, 5.23%, was lower than almost all of theirs, which may reflect that difference rather than cheaper credit.
