AdvantageFirst Lending, a California non-bank lender that first reported in 2025, is almost entirely a refinancer of government-backed loans, and it made 4,137 loans across 28 states that year.
Refinances made up 98.3% of its loans; purchases were 0.6%. It made 4,137 loans; the typical similar lender, a non-bank lender making between half and twice as many loans, made 2,966. That peer group is small, 14 lenders, so comparisons are rough.
Only 16.0% of its loans were conventional, against 74.3% at similar lenders. Loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) made up 54.2%, against 20.2%, and loans guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) 29.8%, against 4.5%. No peer had a higher VA share. Its typical rate, 6.12%, was the lowest among its peers.

It lent in 28 states, 262 metros and 811 counties, with California at its center. Its shares are small: in Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario it ranked 127 of 707 lenders and in Phoenix 156 of 879. With only one year on record, there is no trend yet to judge.
