Capital Credit Union is the second-largest mortgage lender in Bismarck, ND, a credit union whose loans are larger than most similar lenders' and which makes more government-backed loans than nearly all of them.
Capital Credit Union ranks 2 of 145 lenders in Bismarck, ND, behind Gate City Bank, where it has lent since 1991. Its share fell to 8.4% from 10.1%. Its originations rose 3% while the whole market grew 10%, so other lenders took more of the growth; competitors' pricing or less demand for the loans it offers are possible reasons.
