Kind Lending is a fast-growing home-purchase lender: its loans rose 57% in 2025 to 29,401, faster than nearly all similar lenders, after 2,837 in 2021.
Its loans rose 57%, against 10% for similar lenders (independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans) and for the whole market. It made 18,722 loans in 2024 and 9,493 in 2023. It filed no report for 2020, a gap in the record rather than a year without lending. It also bought 1,113 loans, while similar lenders typically bought 84.
It ranked seventh of 363 lenders in Salt Lake City-Murray, a market it entered in 2021, with 3.1% of lending, up from 2.9%. In Houston-Pasadena-The Woodlands its share rose to 0.9% from 0.6%. Home purchases were 77.9% of its lending.
Its typical loan was $345,000, against $285,000 at similar lenders, and 18.7% of its loans went to LMI (low- and moderate-income) borrowers, against 29.7%, lower than at more than nine in ten of them. Its larger loans could go with a borrower mix that leans to higher incomes, as could the markets it serves.
33.4% of its loans were in majority-minority areas, against 25.8%, higher than at nearly four in five similar lenders. 1.6% were RHS loans (guaranteed by the Department of Agriculture's Rural Housing Service), against 0.3%.
