USF Credit Union, a Tampa Bay credit union, lends in roughly equal parts for home improvement, home purchases and other purposes, and held steady in 2025 while similar lenders grew.
It made 324 loans in 2025, down 3%, while similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans) grew 7% and the whole market 10%. From 333 loans in 2024, that is a small change. Its loans peaked at 527 in 2022.
Its typical loan was $160,000, against $105,000 at similar lenders, larger than at about four in five of them. Its typical rate was 6.12%, against 6.88%, lower than at more than four in five. It turned down 3.9% of decided home-purchase applications, against 7.6% at the typical peer.
