A lender to modest earners
Similar lenders here means banks of the same type making between half and twice as many loans. At the middle of that group, 27.7% of loans went to low- and moderate-income (LMI) borrowers; at United Bank of Union the figure was 39.2%, higher than at nearly nine in ten. Its share in LMI neighborhoods, 23.5% against 17.7%, was also higher than at more than two-thirds of them.
