Tri Pointe Connect, an Irvine, California, non-bank lender, reported for the first time in 2025 with 2,788 loans, every one of them for a home purchase.
Its loans reached 29 metros in 11 states, with Texas the main one. In its first year it took about 0.4% of lending in Phoenix, Houston, Riverside-San Bernardino and Sacramento, and 0.5% in Las Vegas. It ranks 44 of 574 lenders in Sacramento.
Its typical loan was $505,000, against $295,000 at similar lenders, the 14 non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans; no peer's was larger. Its typical rate was 6.12%, against 6.50% at peers, the lowest among them. Only 0.2% of its loans were higher-priced, with a rate well above the average for similar loans, against 1.8%.
