A shrunken mortgage book
It made 34 loans in 2025, the same as in 2024. Similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans, typically made 45. From 2019 to 2022 it made between 120 and 129 loans a year, before falling to 60 in 2023. One possible reason is that it now buys more loans than it makes. On so few loans its shares and typical loan swing widely from year to year.
