Our analysis, 2025
Technicolor Federal Credit Union, an $85.6 million credit union, makes a handful of home loans a year in Los Angeles, nearly all of them refinances.
Of its 15 loans in 2025, 93.3% were refinances and the rest purchases. Every loan was conventional. All its lending was in one county, in the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim metro, where it has lent since 1993.
It made 15 loans, the same as in each of the two previous years, while similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans) fell 13% and the whole market grew 10%. Its best recent year was 2021, with 44 loans.
It merged with another Hollywood credit union in 2005, whose filings now count as its own in the market figures. In a market where 757 lenders compete, its share is too small to measure.
With 15 loans, its loan sizes, borrower incomes and neighborhoods rest on too few loans to set against other lenders. Its dollar total rose in 2025 while its loan count did not change, so a few large loans can move it a long way.
Similar lenders: same lender type, originations between half and twice the lender's in the data year. Written from the 2025 HMDA data and checked figure by figure against it.
