Lending in poorer neighborhoods
In 2025, 47.6% of its loans were on homes in low- and moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods, against 17.3% at similar banks (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans). Five years earlier the share was 21.1%. Another measure points the same way: 29.5% of its loans were in majority-minority neighborhoods, against 6.3% for its peers.
