Mountain Credit Union, a North Carolina credit union, is a small home lender whose loans are larger than those of most similar credit unions.
It made 34 loans in 2025, up from 26, all in nine counties of North Carolina. It merged with Enka Credit Union in 2011, and that lender's filings count as its own in the competition figures. It filed no report for 2018, 2020 and 2021; those years are gaps in the record, not years without lending. Similar lenders here are credit unions making between half and twice as many loans.
