Half purchases, two-fifths home improvement
Purchases made up 49.9% of its 635 loans in 2025 and home improvement 40.6%, with refinances the rest. That may help explain a typical loan of $255,000, smaller than the $335,000 of similar lenders, non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans. Conventional loans took 93.9% of its book; loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) took 4.4%, against 20.8% at its peers.
