GO Mortgage, a Wisconsin-based purchase lender, keeps shrinking overall, yet Oregon is now its main state and it moved into Nevada in 2025.
Oregon was its main state in 2025, though it is based in Wisconsin. In Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro its share went from 0.0% to 0.4%, ranking it 54 of 566 lenders. It also entered Reno, Las Vegas and non-metro Nevada for the first time. Its share in Columbus, Ohio, meanwhile fell from 0.8% to 0.5%.
Loans fell 8% to 1,623, while similar lenders grew 6% and the whole market 10%. Its peers are independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans. It made 4,746 in 2020 and fewer in every year since. Higher rates may account for much of that: its typical rate was 2.99% in 2020 and 6.62% in 2025.
Purchases made up 84.5% of its lending. Its typical loan, $315,000, matched peers', and its share of loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration, 20.5%, was close to their 23.0%. Home-improvement loans, at 7.3%, are its one unusual line.
It denied 2.4% of refinance applications, against 6.1% at peers, lower than more than four in five of them. Its purchase denial rate, 3.0%, was a little below theirs. Only 15.4% of its loans were in majority-minority neighborhoods, against 26.6%, which may reflect markets such as Portland and Minneapolis-St. Paul where it lends.
