Endeavor Capital, a Missouri non-bank lender, makes small loans to borrowers of modest means, with loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) more than twice as common as at its peers.
FHA loans made up 41.7% of its lending in 2025, against 16.8% at similar lenders, non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans. In 2020 the figure was 13.6%. Refinancing made up 51.8% of its loans and purchases nearly all the rest.
Its typical loan was $205,000, lower than at nearly nine in ten similar lenders, whose typical loan was $310,000. Of its borrowers, 44.3% had low or moderate incomes, against 26.4% for peers, a higher share than at nine in ten of them. The FHA focus fits both.
Missouri is its main state. It ranked 24 of 637 lenders around St. Louis, with a steady 1.0% share, and has reported there since 2016. Its loans rose 6% in 2025, slower than its peers' 11%, and remain well below the 3,916 it made in 2021.
Only 9.2% of its loans went to majority-minority neighborhoods, against 38.4% for its peers, a lower share than at most of them. The markets it serves, which include non-metro Missouri and Illinois, are a plausible reason.
