A buyer more than a maker
Its purchases of loans held steady, at 2,287 in 2025 against 2,239 in 2024. Its own originations fell 63%, from 482 to 179, a steeper fall than any similar lender (non-bank or government lenders making between half and twice as many loans); the typical one grew 7%. The figures do not say why its own lending shrank while its buying did not.
