Tnbank, a small Oak Ridge bank, bounced back in 2025, and its loans run larger than those of most banks its size.
Tnbank made 61 loans, up 69% on the 36 of 2024. Similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans, grew by 8%, and the whole market by 10%. Its growth was faster than more than nine in ten of them. It is still below the 80 loans of 2020; it filed no report for 2021 or 2022.
Its typical loan was $285,000, against $170,000 at similar lenders, higher than about four in five of them. Jumbo loans, those larger than the conforming limit, made up 5.7% of its lending against 1.7%. Every loan was conventional: it made no government-backed loans. Purchases were 57.4% of its loans and refinances 39.3%.

In Knoxville, where it has lent since 1996, its share rose to 0.3% from 0.1%, ranking it 75 of 599. Mortgage Investors Group, United Wholesale Mortgage and Rocket Mortgage lead that market.
