State Bank of Southwest Missouri lends mostly to home buyers around Springfield, and its loans are larger than those of most similar banks.
Purchases made up 69.2% of its loans in 2025 and refinances 16.9%. All were conventional. Its typical loan was $235,000, against $175,000 at similar lenders (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans), larger than about three-quarters of them.
It made 65 loans, down 7% from 70, while similar lenders grew 9%. Its volume has moved within a narrow band since 2018, from 57 loans to 84, so one year's fall says little.
