A lender to poorer places
Half of Sidney's 66 loans in 2025 were in low- and moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods, against 18.6% at the typical similar lender, a state non-member bank making between half and twice as many loans. That put it above about nineteen in twenty of its peers. LMI borrowers took 45.0% of its loans, against 27.3% for peers. The tract share has come down from 80.5% in 2020, but it remains well above the norm.
