Ozark Bank, a Springfield-area bank that has reported since at least 1990, held its lending flat in 2025 while the market grew, and slipped a little in Springfield.
Home purchase accounted for 55.7% of its 70 loans and refinancing for 34.3%. Its typical loan was $185,000, close to the $175,000 at the typical similar lender (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans).
It made 70 loans, against 71 in 2024, while similar banks grew by 9% and the whole market by 10%. In Springfield, its largest market, its share fell from 0.5% to 0.4%, and it ranked 47 of 351 lenders. Flat lending in a growing market may be enough to explain the slip; it need not mean lost customers.
