Five years of decline
The bank made 577 loans in 2020 and has made fewer every year since. In 2025 its loans fell 47%, from 90 to 48, while similar lenders, state member banks making between half and twice as many loans, grew 6%. That fall was steeper than at nearly all of them. The figures do not say why. A bank may choose to make fewer mortgages and put its money into other lending.
