Freeport State Bank, a small Minnesota lender that has worked St. Cloud since at least 1990, made more loans in 2025 and won a bigger share of that market.
It made 44 loans, up 57% from 28. Similar lenders (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans) grew 3%, and the whole market 10%; its growth was higher than at about nine in ten of them. It filed no report for 2020 to 2022; those years are gaps, not years without lending. With 44 loans, a few more or less move these figures.
