Our analysis, 2025
Coca-Cola Federal Credit Union lends little but far afield. Its 50 loans in 2025 reached 12 states, though it made 14% fewer than in 2024.
Those 50 loans landed in 16 metros and 24 counties, with Georgia its main state. In 2025 it lent for the first time in Valdosta, Columbia, SC, Winston-Salem and Burlington, each with a very small share.
Refinances made up 64.0% of its loans and home purchases 30.0%; all were conventional. Its typical loan, $155,000, was larger than at about three in four similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans), where it was $95,000.
Its 14% fall compares with a rise of 6% at similar lenders and 10% for the whole market. Apart from 169 loans in 2020, it has made between 50 and 70 a year since 2021. The figures do not say why it fell.
Majority-minority areas took 38.0% of its loans, against 9.7% at similar lenders, more than at about four in five of them. Low- and moderate-income (LMI) borrowers took 9.5%, against 31.3%, among the lowest twentieth of its peers. Its larger loans may be one reason, and on 50 loans a few loans move the share.
Similar lenders: same lender type, originations between half and twice the lender's in the data year. Written from the 2025 HMDA data and checked figure by figure against it.
