Center National Bank, a rural Minnesota lender, grew faster than most banks of its size in 2025, and half its loans were for purposes other than buying or refinancing a home.
Loans for other purposes made up 49.2% of its lending. Purchases took 28.8% and refinancing 20.3%. Every loan was conventional. Its typical loan was $165,000, close to the $175,000 at similar lenders (national banks making between half and twice as many loans).
