Barwick Banking Company is a Georgia bank that does most of its mortgage lending in Florida, and in 2025 it grew faster than nearly all banks of its size while making much bigger loans.
Its loans rose from 43 to 74, a jump of 72%. Similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans, grew by 9%, and Barwick was faster than nearly all of them. The bank first reported under HMDA in 2023, so its record is short.
