BankGloucester's typical loan doubled in 2025, to $865,000, far above what similar lenders make.
Its typical loan was $865,000, against $435,000 a year earlier and $245,000 at similar lenders (lenders of the same type making between half and twice as many loans). Only about one in twenty of them made bigger loans. Jumbo loans (larger than the conforming limit) were 27.3% of its lending, against 0.6% at similar lenders. On 41 loans, a few large ones can shift these figures a lot.

It lent in non-metro Massachusetts for the first time in 2025 and already ranks 56 of 232 there. In Boston-Cambridge-Newton, which it has served since 1992, it ranks 186 of 664.
