Most of its loans go to poorer places
Poorer neighborhoods (low- and moderate-income, or LMI, tracts) took 53.8% of its loans, up from 42.3% a year earlier. At similar lenders, credit unions making between half and twice as many loans, the figure was 17.3%. Majority-minority areas took 23.5%, against 9.2%, more than at about seven in ten peers. The data give no figure for its share to LMI borrowers.
