Alltru Federal Credit Union, a St. Louis-area lender, grew its loans by 15% in 2025, and most of them went to members who already own their homes.
Its loans rose 15% to 75, against 6% at similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans). The amount lent rose to $11.0 million from $6.6 million as its typical loan grew to $105,000. Its recent high was 158 loans, in 2021.
