Range Bank, of Marquette, Michigan, does most of its lending outside the state's metro areas, and in 2025 it made 12% more loans than the year before.
It made 317 loans, up 12%. Similar lenders (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans) grew 8% and the whole market 10%. Range Bank first reported in 2020, when it made 1,137 loans; it filed no report for 2018 or 2019, which are gaps in the record.
Home purchases were 52.4% of its loans, refinances 28.1% and other purposes 15.1%. All were conventional. Its typical loan was $145,000, against $175,000 at similar lenders. Manufactured homes were 4.7% of its loans, about double the 2.4% at its peers.

It denied 2.7% of home-purchase applications, against 5.1% at similar lenders, lower than at nearly four in five of them. In non-metro Michigan, its largest market, it ranked 27 of 606 lenders.
