Shrinking as rivals grew
Similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans, typically grew 9% in 2025, and the whole market 10%. PremierBank's loans fell to 128 from 196, a steeper fall than at nearly all of them. The decline is not new. The bank reported 695 loans in 2020 and 500 in 2021, then 292, 187 and 196. The figures do not say why.
