OneLocal Bank, a Massachusetts savings institution, makes big loans: its typical loan of $715,000 was larger than at more than nine in ten similar lenders.
Jumbo loans (larger than the conforming limit) were 28.2% of its loans, against 2.4% at similar lenders (savings institutions making between half and twice as many loans). Its 147 loans came to $168.5 million; a typical peer lent $46.9 million.
