Eaton Community Bank, a Michigan savings institution, makes small loans and lends more to low- and moderate-income borrowers than about seven in eight similar lenders.
Its typical loan, $135,000, was smaller than at about nine in ten similar lenders (savings institutions making between half and twice as many loans), whose typical loan was $245,000. It made no jumbo loans. Purchases made up 50.0% of its loans, and all were conventional.
