Lending in majority-minority areas
Majority-minority areas took 22.2% of its loans, against 4.9% at similar lenders (state member banks making between half and twice as many loans), higher than at more than four in five of them. Low- and moderate-income (LMI) borrowers took 30.0%, against 27.2%. Its share in LMI areas fell to 11.8% from 17.9% in 2024, lower than at about three in four peers; the counties it serves, and where its 135 loans happened to fall, may explain that.
