Centricity Credit Union, a Minnesota lender of small other-purpose and home-improvement loans, grew 76% in 2025, the year it merged with Proctor Federal Credit Union.
Other purposes made up 37.5% of its loans and home improvement 25.9%; purchases were only 12.2%. Its typical loan was $80,000, against $105,000 at similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans). Manufactured homes took 5.2% of its loans, against 0.2%.
Its originations rose 76%, from 196 to 344, against 7% at similar lenders and 10% for the whole market, after years between 148 and 223 loans. The merger with Proctor Federal Credit Union may account for part of the rise; the figures do not show how much.
In Duluth, MN-WI it ranked 8 of 318 lenders with 2.7%, up from 1.4%; North Shore Bank of Commerce leads. The share counts Proctor Federal Credit Union's filings with its own, so part of the rise may come from the merger.
