Cape & Coast Bank, which took its new name in 2025, is the eighth-largest lender in Barnstable Town, and its loans rose 31% after a long slide.
Purchases made up 73.6% of its loans. Its typical loan was $485,000, against $227,500 at similar lenders, savings institutions making between half and twice as many loans. Jumbo loans, larger than the conforming limit, were 19.1% of its lending, against 2.5% at peers, more than at nine in ten of them.
It has lent in Barnstable Town since 1994 and ranks 8 of 369 lenders there. Its share slipped 0.1 points to 2.7%. A change that small could come from a handful of loans.
