Bravera Bank is growing by lending and by merging: its loans rose 27% in 2025, faster than nearly nine in ten similar lenders, and it gained share in Fargo and Minot.
It made 484 loans, against 381 in 2024. The typical similar lender (a state non-member bank making between half and twice as many loans) grew 9%. It merged with Financial Security Bank in 2024 and VISIONBank in 2025. Their filings count as Bravera Bank's, and the mergers may account for some of the rise.
Its share of Fargo rose from 0.0% to 1.9%, ranking it 14 of 207. In Minot it rose 2.9 points to 4.7%. In Bismarck, where it has lent since at least 1990, it still ranks 8 of 145, but its share fell 1.7 points to 3.8%. Faster growth by other lenders there is one possible reason.
Loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) made up 4.1% of its lending, and those guaranteed by the Department of Agriculture's Rural Housing Service (RHS) 1.4%. The typical similar lender made none of either.
Borrowers with low or moderate incomes (LMI) took 36.6% of its loans, against 27.5% at similar lenders, higher than at more than four in five. It turned down 1.8% of first-lien home-purchase applications, against 5.1%.
