BankVista, a bank in Sartell, Minnesota, that mostly finances home purchases, gained ground in Mankato in 2025 while losing some in St. Cloud.
Its share of the Mankato market rose 0.8 points, to 2.1%, ranking it 13 of 180 lenders. In St. Cloud its share fell to 0.7% from 1.1%, and it ranked 32 of 243. The data do not say why. A shift of its lending toward Mankato, or stiffer competition in St. Cloud, are possibilities. It has lent in both since 2002.
It made 125 loans, 6% more than in 2024. Similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans, grew by 9%, and its growth sat near the middle of theirs. Home purchases made up 74.4% of its loans. Its typical loan was $205,000, against $175,000 at its peers.

Only 0.8% of its loans were in majority-minority areas, against 6.1% at its peers; the make-up of its Minnesota markets is one possible reason.
