Bank of Ann Arbor makes big home-purchase loans, and in 2025 its loan count rose 24%, faster than at most similar banks.
Its typical loan was $295,000, against $175,000 at similar lenders (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans), higher than at almost nine in ten. Jumbo loans (larger than the conforming limit) were 6.0% of its lending, against 1.4%. Purchases made up 78.1%.
It made 155 loans, up from 125, faster than about seven in ten similar lenders, whose loans rose 9%. It remains far below the 836 of 2021 and the 622 of 2020.
