Together Credit Union is a Missouri credit union with about two-fifths of its loans for home improvement and other purposes, and it gained share in St. Louis, where it ranked 15 of 637 lenders.
Home improvement made up 25.3% of its originations and other purposes 15.2%, beside 31.8% purchase and 27.8% refinance. Originations rose 9% to 1,508, the same as at similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans) and close to the whole market's 10%. They were 2,716 in 2020.
Jumbo loans (larger than the conforming limit) were 5.3% of its originations, higher than at about four in five similar lenders (1.1%), and up from 3.4% the year before. Its typical loan, $125,000, was near the middle of its peers ($115,000), perhaps because its many home-improvement loans offset the jumbo loans.
It ranked 15 of 637 in St. Louis, where it has lent since before 1990, and its share rose 0.3 points to 1.6%; Guild Mortgage Company, United Wholesale Mortgage and Rocket Mortgage led that market. It made its first loans in Greenville, NC, Valdosta and Winston-Salem in 2025.
LMI (low- and moderate-income) borrowers took 27.3% of its loans, against 27.0% at peers, up from 23.9% five years before. LMI areas took 15.7% (peers 15.2%) and majority-minority areas 11.2% (peers 10.4%), each near the middle of similar lenders.
