Nations Direct Mortgage lends in 42 states, with Oregon its main state and a rank of 7 of 566 lenders in Portland, and its typical loan of $385,000 was larger than about four in five similar lenders'.
It ranked 7 of 566 lenders in Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro, where it has lent since 2007, behind United Wholesale Mortgage, ranked first. Its share there fell to 2.3% from 2.6%. One possibility is that more of its lending went elsewhere: it entered Pinehurst-Southern Pines, Jefferson City and Albuquerque in 2025.
Its typical loan was $385,000, against $315,000 at similar lenders (independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans), and 1.9% of its loans were jumbo (larger than the conforming limit), against 1.2%.
