DAS Acquisition Company is a St. Louis purchase lender with the highest share of Rural Housing Service loans among similar lenders and more lending to low- and moderate-income borrowers than most of them.
Loans guaranteed by the Department of Agriculture's Rural Housing Service (RHS) were 6.7% of its lending, against 0.6% at similar lenders (independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans), the highest among them. Manufactured homes were 3.8%, against 2.0%. Its typical loan, $235,000, was lower than about nine in ten similar lenders'.

Its loans fell 3%, from 7,831 to 7,562, while similar lenders grew 14% and the whole market 10%. With purchases at 86.0% of its loans, it may have taken less part in any rise in refinancing. Its denials were low: 2.4% of first-lien purchase applications on owner-occupied homes, against 5.5%.
