Eastman Credit Union is the largest lender in Kingsport-Bristol and Johnson City, Tennessee, but its originations fell 10% in 2025 and its share in both metros declined.
Similar lenders are credit unions making between half and twice as many loans. Its originations fell 10% to 4,027, while similar lenders' rose 8% and the whole market's 10%, placing it among the lowest tenth for growth. They are down from 5,963 in 2020.

Majority-minority areas had 1.7% of its loans against 9.1%, lower than nearly all similar lenders; its home markets around Kingsport-Bristol and Johnson City may have few such areas. LMI (low- and moderate-income) borrowers took 28.6% against 27.2%, near the middle.
