Community First Credit Union is the leading mortgage lender in Appleton, Green Bay and Oshkosh-Neenah, and its 2025 originations grew faster than about nine in ten similar credit unions'.
It ranks first in Appleton, Green Bay and Oshkosh-Neenah. Its share rose 1.4 points to 8.3% in Green Bay, 1.4 points to 13.2% in Oshkosh-Neenah and 0.3 points to 13.1% in Appleton. In Madison it reached 0.5%, ranking 42 of 380.
Originations rose 34% to 3,510, against 9% for similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans) and 10% for the whole market. Refinancing was its largest purpose at 40.1% of loans, which could account for part of the rise. It remains below its 5,555 loans of 2020.
Its typical rate of 5.49% compared with 6.99% at peers, lower than nearly all of them, and only 0.2% of loans were higher-priced (a rate well above the average for similar loans), against 1.4%.

But LMI tracts took 11.1%, against 15.0%, lower than about five in six, and majority-minority tracts 0.9%, against 9.1%, among the lowest few. Both could reflect a footprint of 41 counties centred on these three markets.
