Growth returned, but not to the refinance-boom level
Summit Credit Union made 11,414 loans in 2025, up from 9,929, against 16,660 five years earlier. Its growth was higher than about two-thirds of similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans). Refinance made up 37.7% of its loans, so the rebound may reflect members refinancing as its typical rate eased from 7.25% to 6.75%.
