Large loans from a small book
Its 29 loans are fewer than four in five similar lenders make (state member banks making between half and twice as many loans), yet its $16.1 million is above peers' $13.8 million. A typical loan of $365,000 is nearly double peers' $195,000. 27.6% of loans were jumbo (larger than the conforming limit), against 4.0%; that is only a handful of loans, but it was 25.9% the year before as well. With so few loans, a handful of large ones sets these figures.
