A sharp fall in reported loans
It first reported under HMDA, the federal mortgage-disclosure law, in 2024, with 316 loans worth $37.8 million. In 2025 it reported 6, worth $1.8 million, a fall of 98%. Similar lenders, savings institutions making between a quarter and four times as many loans, fell 17%. The figures do not show why; whether its lending shrank or only what it reported changed is an open question.
