MapleMark Bank, a bank that first reported to HMDA in 2023, makes only a handful of home loans, almost all of them to home buyers, and buys nearly as many loans as it makes.
The bank made 12 loans in 2025, down from 18 in each of the two years before. The typical similar lender, here meaning state member banks making between half and twice as many loans, made 18. With so few loans, and a peer group of only 12 banks, comparisons with others say little.
Purchases made up 91.7% of its loans and refinances the rest. Every loan was conventional, with no government-backed lending. Its typical loan was $155,000, against $425,000 at similar lenders.
Of its loans, 75.0% were in low- and moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods, against 18.6% at the typical similar lender. The same share went to majority-minority neighborhoods. On 12 loans, that reflects a few places where it lends rather than a pattern to read much into.
It also bought 11 loans from other lenders in 2025, up from 2 in 2024. The typical similar lender bought none, and it bought more than about nine in ten of them. That makes loan buying almost as large a part of its mortgage business as lending, though on numbers this small one or two deals decide the figure. Its own lending spans four states, mainly Oklahoma, with Tulsa and Dallas-Fort Worth among its markets.
