A credit union that does government loans
Loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) made up 21.4% of its lending in 2025, and loans guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) 6.2%. The typical similar lender, a credit union making between half and twice as many loans, made neither. Its FHA share has more than doubled since 2020, when it was 9.4%.
